Since its founding in 1988, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center (DNALC) has provided an environment where students and the public can learn about science by asking questions and doing experiments. Located on Long Island’s beautiful North Shore, the Dolan DNALC has four laboratory classrooms, one computer classroom, and a museum exhibit. Each week of the summer, we host a variety of science camps in Cold Spring Harbor—see the schedule below to find the best match for your young scientist!

*July 1–5: Camps offered in this week are condensed to Monday–Wednesday from 9:30–4:00 due to the Independence Day holiday.
There will be no class Thursday–Friday and no Parent Participation Day. Instruction includes the full camp curriculum for a discounted tuition of $500.

From the West:

Take the Long Island Expressway (exit 41 North) or the Northern State Parkway (exit 35 North) to Route 106 North (Jericho-Oyster Bay Road). Take 106 north to Route 25A east. Make a right onto 25A and travel east for approximately four miles. (You will pass Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on your left at Bungtown Road. DO NOT ENTER BUNGTOWN RD. ENTRANCE). Continue on 25A to the next traffic signal and bear left into the town of Cold Spring Harbor (25A is Main Street). Pass the shops in town. The Dolan DNA Learning Center is the red brick schoolhouse on the right, just past the Whaling Museum.

From the East:

Take the Long Island Expressway (exit 49 north) or the Northern State Parkway (exit 40 north) to Route to 110 North. Take 110 north to 25A west into the town of Cold Spring Harbor. Route 25A is Main Street. The Dolan DNA Learning Center is the red brick schoolhouse on the left across from the intersection of Goose Hill Road, just before the Whaling Museum.
