The DNA Learning Center at the Biotechnology Innovation Center (DNALC at PCBIC) in Wayne, New Jersey bridges the campuses of the Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) vocational-technical high school and a community college. The 6,500-square-foot Passaic DNALC opened in 2024 and includes two teaching labs, a bioinformatics lab, research/supply chain lab, prep lab, and staff offices. Students can now have the DNALC science camp experience in New Jersey—check out the schedule below!

Directions

Garden State Parkway (GSP)

From the South:

  1. Take GSP North to Exit 153.
  2. Take Route 3 West to Route 46 West.
  3. Turn right onto Union Boulevard (turns into Union Avenue).
  4. Turn left onto Preakness Avenue and drive to the very top of the hill.
  5. Turn right onto Oldham Road.
  6. Take first right onto Reinhardt Road.
  7. Check in at the guardhouse on the right to receive instructions to the DNA Learning Center.

From the North:

  1. Take GSP South to Exit 154 onto Route 46 West.
  2. Turn right onto Union Boulevard (turns into Union Avenue).
  3. Turn left onto Preakness Avenue and drive to the very top of the hill.
  4. Turn right onto Oldham Road.
  5. Take first right onto Reinhardt Road.
  6. Check in at the guardhouse on the right to receive instructions to the DNA Learning Center.

Route 80

From the East

  1. Take Route 80 West to Exit 56 on the right (Squirrelwood Road, West Paterson).
  2. Turn right at end of ramp.
  3. Take first left onto Glover Avenue.
  4. Go through first traffic light and over bridge.
  5. At second traffic light, turn right onto Totowa Avenue.
  6. At first traffic light, turn left onto Preakness Avenue and drive to the very top of the hill.
  7. Turn right onto Oldham Road.
  8. Take first right onto Reinhardt Road.
  9. Check in at the guardhouse on the right to receive instructions to the DNA Learning Center.

From the West

  1. Take Route 80 East to exit on the right to Minnisink Road in Totowa.
  2. Turn left end of ramp and go back over Route 80 on Minnisink Road.
  3. Take first left onto Vreeland Avenue (sign of Route 80 West).
  4. At the end of Vreeland Avenue, turn right onto Riverview Drive.
  5. Turn right onto Valley Road (golf course will be on the right).
  6. Turn right onto Preakness Avenue and drive to the very top of the hill.
  7. Turn left onto Oldham Road.
  8. Take first right onto Reinhardt Road.
  9. Check in at the guardhouse on the right to receive instructions to the DNA Learning Center.

Route 46

From the East or West

  1. From Route 46, exit at Riverview Drive (from east or west) proceed on.
  2. Take Riverview Drive and turn right onto Valley Road.
  3. Turn right onto Preakness Avenue.
  4. Turn left on Oldham Road.
  5. Check in at the guardhouse on the right to receive instructions to the DNA Learning Center.
